Backend Developer - CognaLearn Pte Ltd｜Meet.jobs

We are looking for a team player who will be involved in the overall application lifecycle. S/he is an avid learner of new and emerging technologies, and is always happy to lend a helping hand to team members. The candidate will report directly to the Chief Technology Officer. As the Backend Developer, you are required to stay up to date with the current best practices and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of designers, developers and system administrators. 

Main responsibilities

• Collaborate with Frontend developers 
• Define and communicate technical and design requirements
• Code, troubleshoot and debug applications
• Build high-quality reusable code 
• Develop functional and sustainable web applications with clean codes and professional documentation
• Conduct UI tests and optimise performance
• Manage cutting-edge technologies to improve applications

Required skills

• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Familiar with front-end languages such as HTML, JavaScript and CSS
• In-depth understanding of web development
• 3 years of experience as a Backend Developer
• 3 years of experience with PHP and, specifically, Laravel PHP
• 3 years of experience with MySQL(able to write raw SQL queries)
