Quirk is the first personal finance app that uses personality and psychometric testing to help young professionals adopt better financial behaviours.

Our goal with Quirk is to empower people to be in control over their money, feel secure about the decisions they’re making, and make use of the wealth of data and intelligence out there to their benefit. We are building a stand-out financial service that puts people at the center of it and helps humanize the world of money and finance.

We’re an early stage start-up currently building our MVP. We’re backed by InnovationRCA and Alpha, Telefonica’s “moonshot factory”. As a team of 2 co-founders and 5 remote workers based in the UK we’re excited to have someone join us full-time.

Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for a Chief Technology Officer who is passionate about making a difference to improve people’s financial wellbeing and creating a financial service that puts humans first not money. We’re looking for someone who wants to be part of a very close knit team in a design centric company.

We want someone who greatly values building beautiful and user friendly products. You’ll be scrappy and resourceful with a problem solving attitude and a naturally curious and resilient leader who can handle the ups and downs of launching a new product. Experience in FinTech is not essential to be successful at Quirk.

You’re a hands-on engineer ready to build stuff right away!
You’ve got experience in building iOS and Android apps
You’re fluent with Swift or Java for app development
You’ve had experience in building machine learning models

*The Role *

The key purpose of this role is to lead all aspects of Quirk’s technological development and be responsible for the delivery of all software, including product roadmap velocity and quality, and own the product roadmap.

You’ll lead the vision and execute on the technology we’re building. An essential part of the role is working with our remote dev team to develop our mobile app. You’ll be responsible for building our data machine learning models.

Reviewing estimates and doing code-reviews of remote dev team work. Creating timelines for the development and deployment of all technological service.

As the CTO it’s essential that you have the ability to think and act strategically and proactively. You’ll regularly pitch Quirk’s technology to investors.
