About GAV:
Global Accelerated Ventures (GAV) is a globally recognized innovation aggregator who partners with industry leading multinationals e.g. the London Stock Exchange Group (London), Pacira BioSciences (Parsippany) , InterSystems (Boston), Synechron (NYC) and some of the leading universities in the world to develop Venture Studios / Innovation Centers. Position Summary:
This is a C suite position which will be a key member of the management team and the successful candidate must have significant experience raising capital with or for venture backed companies and building systems for scale. This organization runs fast and you’ll need to be able to keep up and contribute. We are currently seeking an accomplished no bullshit CFO in one of the above captioned geographies. We bring a solid base of Fortune 500 collaborators and you must bring a deep bench of venture contacts, structure (but not so much structure that you eliminate free thought and creativity) board understanding of GAAP, Capital Markets, and Organizational Development.
Objectives:
• Develop the comprehensive fund raising strategy (debt and equity) for the Company, its portfolio NewCo’s, and enhance our strategic partner relationships.
• Work with management to define a clear path to success and position NewCo’s for funding and acquisition.
• Work with our strategic partners to align our strategic goals with their expectations.
• Define and report the key operating metrics of the Company(ies), including Customer Acquisition Costs (CAC), Lifetime Value (LTV), Net Revenue Retention (NRR), etc. Develop strategies for onboarding strategic partners.
• Identify new talent and supervise, develop, and mentor the team members across the organization.
• Serve as trusted advisor, industry thought-leader and influencer to management and partners.
• Establish controls within the organization to ensure proper governance and operational effectiveness.
Skills:
• Experience leading, managing and scaling companies
• Experience managing board and investor relations with private, VC and strategic investors.
• Minimum 15 years progressive work experience, CPA preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact effectively with all areas and levels of the company.
Qualifications and Requirements:
– Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. CPA. Masters’ Degree preferred
- 15+ years experience
-Experience working in dynamic settings with tight deadlines, managing multiple tasks at one time, and working with diverse staff and beneficiaries
-Ability to prioritize with organizational skills which are beyond reproach
-Start up experience with ability to demonstrate success
-Written and oral fluency in English as well as proficiency in some other language perhaps French, Italian or Mandarin.
Salary:
