Accenture Cloud First Applications focuses on offering transformational and differentiated cloud services to our clients across leading and emerging application platforms – in particular Salesforce, Workday, Google and Pega. These services include cloud strategy and technology consulting, as well as Cloud application implementation, integration and management services. In order to meet the market momentum that we see, we continue to rapidly grow our team with organic and inorganic expansion across the globe.

In May 2015, Accenture acquired Tquila, the leading Salesforce boutique consulting company in the UK. Later in 2015, Accenture announced the acquisition of Cloud Sherpas, a global leader in cloud advisory and technology services specializing in Salesforce, Google Cloud and ServiceNow. These acquisitions were part of our global strategy to be the leading provider of cloud advisory and implementation services. We are making excellent progress integrating Tquila and Cloud Sherpas into our Cloud First Applications Team here in the UK. 

Accenture’s Cloud First Applications Team is looking for an experienced Enterprise and Cloud Technical Architect to work on our complex PaaS projects. The successful candidate will have previously worked with distributed teams (onshore/offshore) where the customer is based in the UK. The role requires drive, enthusiasm and a natural ability to deliver on short timelines. The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in working with and solving complex problems.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years experience working as a Technical Architect

• Consulting background

• Working with onshore/offshore development teams

• Working on Enterprise scale projects

• Previous experience of cloud application development

• Managing Senior Stakeholders

 

Essential Skills

• Designing enterprise scale architectures for cloud applications in hybrid environments

• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts with different audiences,including technical team members and senior stakeholders

• Bespoke software development on Cloud platforms (Google Cloud, AWS,Azure)

• Experience of delivering multi-channel application projects

• Solid experience developing apps using RESTful APIs

• Defining data models for complex software projects

• SQL, NoSQL, and Big Data databases

 

Desirable Skills

• Relevant Degree

• Agile Development Methods

• Good understanding of technologies eg Java, Python, HTML5, JavaScript,REST, JSON, AngularJS, CSS

 

Technical Skills

• Enterprise Architecture

• Java development background on distributed systems (EJB, J2EE, JMSetc.)

• Test-Driven Development (TDD) / Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD)

• Continuous integration/continuous delivery

• Git

• Atlassian JIRA / JIRA Agile configuration and administration

• Google Apps (Docs/Sheets)

• Diagramming tools such as Lucid Charts/Visio/OmniGraffle
