    Most of the world's growth and sustainability depends on tasks involving visual understanding, from the detection of disease, to preserving natural habitats, to the manufacturing revolutions that pull communities out of poverty. V7's goal is to create a tool to solve any visual task, and put it in the hands of any business. We are a platform to develop customized AI combining automated image annotation, dataset management, and model training to create an almost magical end-to-end experience in bringing autonomous intelligence to life through learnable human actions.

    We are a venture-backed team of 8, harnessing and curating the ML-ops of some of the world's most ambitious tech companies and AI startups. We're competing with some of the best-funded labelling & ML-ops teams out there, and winning.     As Head of Marketing at V7 you will be communicating with our internal community of customers to tell their story via press releases, webinars, and case studies. You'll also be an evangelist for the broader machine-learning community's view of V7. Success in this position means that every machine learning scientist wants to work with you, and your non-technical sibling is inspired by what V7 does for the world.

    This role requires the coordination skills of a developer community manager, and the creative acumen of a marketing director, putting you in charge of collaborations, interviews, webinars, and spreading the word on open-resources for the AI community.

    We are looking for scientifically-minded individuals with a magnetic personality, who are most happy when connecting to someone new, yet with the semi-technical prowess to scale their efforts via automated content posting, contacts list management, understanding and executing on SEO with the help of our developer team, and enough curiosity to explore the fundamentals of AI.

    The ideal candidate for this role would picture themselves entering a room at an AI conference and quickly being able to tell who they want to meet and engage with them. Come with a network, or without one, V7 will be a gateway for you to meet leading machine learning scientists, executives, and engineers in the UK and worldwide. Develop the word-of-mouth and online presence clout to get us to the top of Google, and work on delivering stories that the world will want to read, some of which include:

    • Fighting climate change by analyzing shorelines via satellites.
    • Improving the welfare of farm animals by spotting ill cattle while they can still be treated.
    • Using drones to scan the aftermath of hurricanes and spot areas locked-off from ground access.
    • Understanding the severity of COVID-19 to predict the chance of ICU admission.
    • Teaching robots how to prepare a salad.

    And hundreds more visual tasks for which V7 provides a brain and orchestration tooling.

    You will not be alone, and will be supported by our CEO, and Partnerships/Sales Lead in scaling your efforts.

    Some of the responsibilities you will tackle are:

    • Setting up interviews between our CEO or CTO and other AI company founders & executives.
    • Develop a narrative of V7’s story with the founders and evangelize it across platforms (Quora, Reddit, Kaggle, HackerNews)
    • Deliver monthly updates to our users that tell stories of how our platform is growing, effectively automate this communication process with the right heuristics.
    • Develop stories, media blasts, and case studies of our customers and their successes. Build and nurture our press contacts and provide them with fresh and inspiring stories to tell.
    • Define standards of V7’s communication in our employee notebook. Ensure that everyone at V7 is compelled to tell its story as the company grows.
    • Organizing open datasets, models, and community resources on our platform. Make sure AI conference organizers and developer communities can leverage what we open-source.
    • Daily social media posting and scheduling. Build a lingo and strategy for social media with V7's founders that stands out and caters to a small but dedicated audience.
    • Becoming an ambassador of V7 at computer vision and AI conferences. Be nice, and be useful.

    Requirements:

    • Previous experience managing user or customer communities at tech companies or startups.
    • Experience with sales and CRM tools.
    • A curious, scientific mind.
    • Fluent in English
