This is a long shot, but we're looking for someone from the industry who wants to take on the challenge.

We are producing a 16 core chip that is equivalent to a 16 core Xeon Gold 6130, but only 16W. That means we can pack 21 onto a PCIe card, and put that into a GPU slot in a server. The result? Literally 12 (twelve) times more computation at the same total cost of ownership versus Xeon based servers.. while running the same, unmodified, existing applications.

The catch? Each core has 16 hyperthreads.. it's a new micro-architecture on which Intensivate has patents (issued). The 16 hyperthreads is how we get the performance at the low power.. but each one is slow.. so, this kind of CPU is best for horizontal scaling. That means workloads like Spark, MongoDB, Kafka, micro-services, and so on. That's about 30% of all server CPU cycles (as stated by IDC). And it's the fastest growing segment of server applications.

The good: drop-in replacement at 12x benefit
We can walk you through all the proof points we have accumulated, bringing up existing million-line code-bases on our chip (in FPGA), to show that it runs existing code as-is. It is currently RISC-V because that eco-system supports startups.. but we have plans to expand into other ISAs to gain their eco-system and industry acceptance.

What this means is that we've found a way to thread that needle: deep technical innovation in silicon -- while at the same time avoiding the software eco-system barrier -- and with the PCIe card format even avoiding the physical environment barrier. Add to that, the development process we formed -- we gave a talk at the RISC-V summit on how we can put a chip into customer hands for $10M. Then add the breadth of business relationships formed so far -- with the major players -- and the picture starts to emerge.
