    工作機會描述

At Duco, we try to treat our people a little differently.  For one thing, diversity and inclusion isn't a catchphrase to us, but a genuine commitment that we're proud to make. That’s one reason why our Glassdoor feedback shows over 85% of our people would recommend us as an employer and 92% approve of the CEO. Right now though, we’re really interested in YOU and whether you might like to join our team.

What can we offer as your potential new employer?

A growing company, with a very bright future:

At Duco, we help companies to solve their complex data problems with our fast and easy to use software.  Our customers already include many of the world’s top financial institutions and we’re still growing, even in the current recession.  We’re also backed by some of the best software investors in the market.

Where you can make a real difference:

We’re very proud that our software makes people’s jobs quicker, easier and less repetitive. We think anything that makes the working world a better place is worth doing!  And this mindset is also reflected in our own culture.  You can expect to enjoy a genuinely inclusive and collaborative working environment where your individual contributions will be noticed and appreciated.  We encourage everyone to bounce ideas around, try new things, offer suggestions, experiment, ask questions, share knowledge and have fun!

In an interesting role with plenty of scope:

Our Singapore office has been open for just over a year and we need someone to help build a technical presence here for the first time.  As a System Administrator, you’ll be a critical part of the Duco team especially in the APAC region. You’ll focus on providing solutions to the complex technical issues our customers encounter and help manage the SaaS (‘Software as a Service’) systems we provide for them. You’ll act as a customer-facing engineer, working directly with contacts at many of the biggest banks, investment managers, and other financial services businesses. As we grow in the region and globally you will help us meet the demands of our growing business - automating and streamlining our operations and processes, building the tools for monitoring, alerting & maintenance, and scaling up our deployment mechanisms & infrastructure to meet our ambitious plans.

This is what you’ll be doing day to day:

    • Collaborating closely with Engineering / Product Management to ensure the availability and performance of our systems and the satisfaction of our customers
    • Ensuring successful technical completion of on-boarding for new customers
    • Troubleshooting issues our customers’ production environments and recommending / applying solutions
    • Improving and simplifying the tools and processes we use to monitor and manage those production environments
    • Recommending improvements to the technologies we use
    • Participating in on call coverage rotation, providing leadership to all customer facing teams during incidents
    • Providing day to day IT support for the Singapore office when needed (we don’t expect a heavy requirement here; perhaps 10-20% of your time, at most)

This is who you’ll be working with:

    • Customer Reliability Engineers, System Administrators, and Customer Success colleagues in London and Poland (and in other regions as we grow)
    • Customer Success Team Manager of Asia Pacific and a small local team of great colleagues
    • Sales and Solution Engineering teams, who sell our products across Asia Pacific

    Where

    • The role is based from our Singapore office but we have a flexible working approach so you’ll be able to work from home, in the office or a bit of both (most of our employees are currently fully working from home to stay safe during the COVID19 pandemic).

    And be well-rewarded for it:

    • Base salary reviewed annually (the starting range for this role will be 100,000 - 130,000$ SGP per year, to fit your level of experience and the local market standard)
    • Unlimited holiday policy, because we trust our people to manage their own time off
    • Flexible working options: you can choose between home- or office-working, or a bit of both, and we’re fairly relaxed about start and finish times too as long as the work is being done
    • Learning and development opportunities
    • Share options, so you can reap the rewards of helping to make Duco successful
    • Spot rewards so we can say thanks whenever you do a really great bit of work
    • Annual bonus scheme so we can acknowledge your longer-term effort
    • CPF contribution
    • Company health insurance, including external counselling and support if needed

Interested? Great! This is what you’ll need for the role:

    • Strong background in Linux and Networking
    • Sound knowledge of databases and experience in writing efficient SQL queries, preferably in MySQL
    • Previous experience in 1st or 2nd line support roles
    • Fluent in English (for communicating with global customers and colleagues)
    • Analytical thinking and problem solving skills, so you can unravel complex technical issues
    • Willingness to learn new technologies in an evolving environment
    • Patience, persistence and a positive approach
    • Ability to work collaboratively with a range of different teams and individuals

Bonus points if you also have:

    • Experience with any of these: Amazon Web Services, ISO27001 & SOC2, Puppet, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, or Elasticsearch
    • Experience in the financial services industry or with financial services software

    Important point:

If you currently can’t tick all the above boxes, please don’t let it put you off applying.  We review all applications with real interest and we believe in supporting people’s personal development.  We’re not necessarily looking for ‘the perfect candidate’ with years of experience, gold medals and superpowers!

And a final word about COVID19…

As our people are all currently working from home to help keep everyone safe, interviews will be conducted by video-conferencing, and we’ll onboard any new joiners mostly remotely.
