iUNU is a computer vision startup focused on solving problems in commercial agriculture. Our LUNA system increases yields and reduces waste for greenhouse growers. We provide hi-resolution images of their crops from any PC, tablet or smartphone, and develop and share critical information like yield forecasts, pest detection and germination rates. The Senior Robotics engineer will own the design, maintenance, reliability and troubleshooting of our existing and future fleet. You will have an oversize impact on the success of the company and a chance to grow as we expand our customer base.

Responsibilities of the Senior Robotics Engineer include
Own the design, development, maintenance and improvement of all robot systems and software
Maintain system design schematics for production and prototype robots.
Collaborate with the hardware engineering manager to measure and report robot MTBF, root cause analysis and plans to address
Develop systems that allow our production to scale while increasing reliability and reducing cost.
Requirements:
BS in robotics, computer science or electrical engineering
3+ years ROS software engineering and systems development
5+ years C++ and Python experience
Willingness to travel to customer sites to understand issues and witness field operations
Desired:
2+ years in electrical sensors, power and battery systems, systems integration
2+ years experience in robotics electrical systems
We’re looking for a candidate who values transparency in communication and is comfortable documenting and troubleshooting issues. You should be able to communicate effectively with team members, including summarizing design decisions, test requirements and root cause analysis. You are able to write design, assembly and maintenance documentation and present them in a logical manner. You are comfortable with ambiguity and want to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
