Developer Evangelist - Code, Content, Tinker, Talk - Pocket Network｜Meet.jobs

Pocket Network is the leading decentralized blockchain infrastructure protocol.

We are looking for someone who is both a Web3 wizard, a writer and can speak to our growing community of DApp developers and Node Runners.

The ideal candidate operates like a lot of our Web3 friends do, they’re deeply passionate and curious about all aspects of the market and tech, and love to talk about it.

Because Pocket Network is a middleware protocol that connects with a range of blockchains, node setups, dapps and tools, your goal should be to learn about everything and become a voice for the entire blockchain ecosystem that people can appreciate.

This role will be responsible for interfacing with engineering/user-facing teams, bringing cohesion to our documentation, as well as creating, contributing and coordinating additional content intended for a technical audience(App Devs, Node Runners, Protocol Devs, Tool Devs, Tokenomics, Governance, etc).

Things like guides, blog posts, commentary, case studies, presentations, memes and really whatever gets the point across.

This person won’t be shying away from rolling up their sleeves to get into the nitty gritty of things by dogfooding, joining and coaching in on hackathons, speaking at events, playing support when needed and contributing directly to the improvement of Pocket Network’s protocol, products and partnerships all the while continuing to share for others to learn from.

What you’ll be doing:

• Be the single threaded owner of docs.pokt.network in charge of creating/maintaining the most usable developer education imaginable for all of Pocket Networks user base.
• Identifying content gaps or better ideas that can be distributed through Pocket Network’s blog or through Public Relations media channels.
• Engaging deeply in collaboration with the Ecosystem & Protocol engineering teams on protocol tooling and product releases, creating the necessary educational materials and processes that will scale support through a self-service culture.
• Engaging deeply in collaboration with Marketing & Solutions teams in order to develop content catered to each user segment according to their needs.
• Engaging deeply in the community in such a way that makes all of the other things more and more unnecessary.
• (If/when restrictions let up), traveling, attending and representing Pocket Network at conferences and hackathons, developing presentations or workshops for people to engage with the protocol and its products deeply.

Experience:

• Experience using an EVM chain as a dev.
• Experience/curiosity running full nodes.
• Can deploy, configure and maintain POKT nodes no problem.
• Excellent written communication skills and can write docs, blog posts, announcements, and even case studies with grace.
• Excellent orator willing to speak in front of an audience (Virtual and/or IRL)
• Keen organizational abilities with a focus on what’s best for the users.
• High operator in remote-first environment.
• Can simplify processes to make distributed working scalable and efficient.

Bonus Points:

• Experience with other major blockchains or L2 (Solana, Matic(Polygon), BSC, etc)
• Experience contributing to DAOs
• Strong Meme game.

Characteristics:

• Veracious curiosity for all things Web3 development.
• Can toggle between leader, team mate, community member.
• Can toggle between “professional” and “casual” voices.
• Would be doing this anyway.
