Who are we looking for?

Speedoc is looking for a React Native developer. This person, a React Native “ninja,” will take ownership and be responsible for building React Native iOS / Android applications for Speedoc’s clients.

Who are you?

You are a React Native Lead Developer, with more than 7 years of software development experience and part of this is working with React Native.  During this time, you have acquired knowledge and experience in the adoption of React Native best practices and contributing to building the libraries, and also the ability to maintain continuous integration and delivery of React Native applications.  Writing unit and integration tests are second nature to you.  You also have experience communicating with the NodeJS API system and strong experience in Git version control, Agile, and Scrum methodology/framework.  You can solve problems as they occur and is one who is thrilled when you are able to do so.  Conversingand writing in English is not an issue for you, and you are used to being part of a diverse team where English is the main language of communication.

Why are you important?

You are the go-to-person who will take on the ownership and be responsible for building new features and maintaining our React Native iOS/Android applications. You will integrate user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic, and ensure that pixel-perfect UI is implemented that matches designs, ensuring excellent user experience with clean, modern, smooth animations and transitions.   You would also ensure that the latest releases to our applications are done so in the iOS and Google Play stores so that our users are given the latest updates to further enhance their user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance existing source code and APIs
• Integrate user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic
• Implementation of security and data protection
• Architect, build and maintain excellent React Native applications with clean code.
• Implement pixel-perfect UI's that match designs.
• Implement clean, modern, smooth animations and transitions that provide an excellent user experience.
• Integrate third-party APIs.
• Write unit and integration tests.
• Release applications to iOS and Google Play stores.
• Work with native modules when required.
• Work as part of a small, but passionate team, which will include other React front-end developers, a Systems Engineer, a Project Manager, QA Professional, and a Designer.

Skills & Experience Required

• 5+ years of professional experience working with React Native.
• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Meaningful experience working on large, complex systems.
• An understanding of React Native best practices and a commitment to following them.
• Ability to work through new and difficult React Native issues and contribute to libraries as needed.
• Ability to create and maintain continuous integration and delivery of React Native applications.
• Experience working with AWS environment
• Experience maintaining and enhance API system
• Experience with testing frameworks
• Strong Experience with Git version control
• Experience working remotely & as part of a distributed engineering team
• Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum framework/methodology
• Strong problem-solving skills are essential
