Responsibilities:
* Lead the on-site installation of computing & communications inclouding SCADA systems, computer systems & data historian
* Provide on-site & remote support for all computing & communications technology deployed within the power generation site
* Coordinate with controls engineers, site operations personnel & IT resources to ensure stable & consistentent data collection & system availability
Qualifications:
* Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science or related field
* At least 7 year(s) of working experience in SCADA/Automation systems (power utility preferred)
* Experience with networking, power systems, SCADA communication protocols & control systems are required with a proven ability to troubleshoot complex systems
* Advanced knowledge of IT infrastructure technologies including TCP/IP, firewalls, network security, network segmentation and wireless
* Experienced in developing backup/recovery strategies of SCADA System/Historian configuration & data as appropriate
* Experienced in delivering monitoring and notifications in a SCADA environment
* Understanding of NERC CIP security principals
* Extensive experience leading the design, development, testing & commissioning of computing, communications and SCADA systems for power generation.
* Experience with multiple vendors RTUs/communication processors, HMIs, IEDs & networking equipment is required
* Demonstrated experience in SCADA system design, communication design & construction specifications related to SCADA/Automation systems
* Strong conceptualization ability, strong interpersonal communication & organizational skills are a must, including the ability to explain complex technical issues to decision-makers & project teams
* Able to provide after hours (24 x 7) on-call support
* Willing to travel in Asia Pacific region up to 50%
