Volume successfully launched Sommelier’s first iteration as PeggyJV, bringing the Cosmos Ethereum bridge to market and resulted in Sommelier raising a total $25MM in funding to launch the first automated DeFi blockchain to manage Liquidity Provider capital on Ethereum via the Cosmos. Sommelier consists of the Cosmos Stargate SDK, its Tendermint-based consensus layer and a decentralized, bi-directional Ethereum bridge, managed by a global network of validators. Liquidity Providers (LPs) will be able to use Sommelier to author and execute complex, automated financial transactions, such as portfolio rebalancing, limit orders, as well as a host of other features that token holders have come to expect from centralized finance (CeFi), but that are not currently available in DeFi.

We are looking for a Defi Social Media Manager to lead & execute an effective social media strategy for us and our clients across all social media channels.

In this role you will spend the majority of your day working with multiple projects and creating engaging Twitter and social content for our wide array of DeFi, NFT and other blockchain clients. You will write content, work with our designers to create visual content and spend your day engaging with Crypto Twitter.

Our ideal candidate stays on top of trends, is familiar with the Web3 space, and has a love for building community. Our ideal candidate for this role is a seasoned meme queen/king, ready to jump into a fast-paced environment!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage, execute and optimize Twitter and social channels for Volume and Sommelier
• Social media strategy and scheduling - planning content, copy and posting plans
• Social media analytics and reporting - share a monthly report with the team
• Actively monitor and respond to DMs and tags, etc.
• Monitor social media for relevant narratives
• Write short, concise and engaging copy for socials
• Work closely with design teams to produce any necessary assets
• Innovate and offer new ideas to elevate social media presence

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3+ years social media experience in DeFi, blockchain, and cryptocurrency communications
• Active participation in Decentralized Finance and DeFi online communities
• Demonstrable knowledge of Web3, cultural trends and how people engage on Crypto Twitter
• You are the meme queen or king
• You are master of your fragmented social identities
• You live each day to write Twitter threads, Telegram alerts, and Discord chats and any longer forms of content on socials
• Thrive under pressure and deadlines in fast-paced environment and industry
• Excellent English writing skills with a supporting portfolio of content
• BA in writing, social media management or related field is a plus
