Impact Description

We're looking for a senior DevOps engineer who wants to take ownership of our DevOps and SRE practices. From day one, you will be a leader within our infrastructure team that is responsible for our server and database infrastructure, cloud and application build/deployment, system metrics, and building DevOps and SRE best practices throughout the company. In addition, you will be responsible for handling how the DevOps team works with all engineering teams and assisting other engineering teams to ensure our product can successfully scale. You will also partner closely with other engineering leaders on key architectural decisions and long-term engineering strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead our DevOps and SRE practices for our engineering organization
• Own our AWS configuration, monitoring, alerting, data resilience, and critical measurement of our infrastructure
• Take ownership of our CI/CD pipeline, and develop tools and processes to improve our deployment pipeline
• Take ownership of performance and reliability measurement and drive improvements based on data
• Run critical operational portions of development, build, deploy, and monitoring infrastructure
• Use your knowledge of open source tools and available services to maintain the highest levels of uptime across our myriad services

Desired qualifications:

• Experience with Linux
• Experience with AWS (including but not limited to the following AWS services):
  • S3
  • EC2
  • Elastic Beanstalk
  • ECR
  • Batch
  • ElasticCache
  • Cloudwatch
• Experience with MongoDB and Redis
• Experience with Docker
• Industry experience in running a multi-node, highly performant, and available environment

Preferred qualifications:

• Power user-level familiarity with AWS, MongoDB, Docker, Node.js, Webpack CI / CD (CircleCI, Github actions, etc..)
• Experience working at a B2B SaaS company with customers that have specific uptime and performance SLAs
• Experience scaling server infrastructure to support an order of magnitude increase in usage.
