Building the first solution capable of identifying, attributing, and licensing content in real-time, even before it’s published, is no small feat, so we’re looking for the Go Engineer to join us on our quest to bring freedom, fairness, and transparency to the Internet.

The Team

The Discovery Team at Pex is a fully remote small team consisting of a product manager, engineering manager, engineering tech lead, and reverse engineer. The team collaborates with the SRE department to build and deploy our services. As part of the Discovery Team, you will be working on complex engineering problems in a large-scale distributed system.

The Role

We’re looking for a driven learning-seeking engineer who will closely cooperate with the Discovery team tech lead and help with building large-scale systems. As the Go Engineer III, you will:

• Create scalable, performant Go applications leveraging SQL (PostgreSQL), FoundationDB, and Kubernetes
• Write clean, tested, efficient, maintainable code
• Work with large-scale distributed systems
• Collaborate with other engineers, a team tech lead and product manager
• Will grow and become a more independent engineer with a high level of autonomy

About You

We have a lot of people who did not follow the traditional career path. We value people who are curious and collaborative and bring their unique perspectives to work each day. While we’re excited to learn what you can bring to the team, there are a few key things you’ll need that are essential to success in this role:

• 3+ years of experience with software development engineering
• Backend engineering experience, preferably in Golang
• Good knowledge of SQL(PostgreSQL) and interacting with databases
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure / AWS / GCP)
• Thrive on solving complex problems and proactively seeking new knowledge
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally, and function well in a distributed team
• Ability to wear multiple hats is welcome
