    Job description

Data Theorem is an exciting company focused on creating a more secure world for data. We are searching for exceptional talent pursuing an opportunity to grow and take ownership of the projects that resonate most with them.

As a Product Designer, your main focus will be creating user-friendly features across our suite of web-based products that help developers and security engineers identify and fix security and privacy issues in their applications. You will be expected to collaborate cross-functionally to guide new features from idea to implementation, gather feedback and actionable insights from users, and continuously improve and refine the usability and aesthetics of the Data Theorem experience for security teams around the globe.

    You will:

    • Work closely with engineers and company leadership to define both the long-term strategy and the short-term tactics for our products.
    • Work closely with designers on your team to develop and expand product design systems.
    • Sometimes work on very broadly defined, loose concepts, and sometimes on narrowly defined, tactical deliverables.
    • Be a key member of a small, talented team, and have a tremendous and direct impact on the company and products.

We’re looking for someone who has:

    • A track record in designing for business and developer-focused products.
    • An understanding of frontend code, Git, and the limitations of frontend technology. This can be demonstrated through hands-on coding skills with HTML/CSS/JS, command-line Git, or by showing a deep understanding of the needs of engineers you’ve worked with previously.
    • Experience explaining their work, process, and decisions to cross-functional stakeholders, and craves feedback to help them produce their best work.
    • Significant experience with Sketch / Figma / Omnigraffle / Balsamiq / Axure / Adobe Creative Suite (or similar design tools).
    • 5+ years relevant design experience at a tech, product-driven company.
