    About the Role

We are looking for candidates experienced in the areas of AUTOSAR tooling, virtual networking and virtual ECU simulation. This role will focus on leading our initiatives related to allowing customers to run simulations at the virtual ECU level, with a focus on AUTOSAR Classic architecture. We are trying to bridge the gaps due to complexity in AUTOSAR development practices and SIL simulation, through virtualization of ECUs and communication networks during simulation. At Applied, we encourage all engineers to take ownership over technical and product decisions, closely interact with users to collect feedback, and contribute to a thoughtful, dynamic team culture.

    At Applied, you will

    • Design and implement core components of our proprietary vECU simulation engine
    • Contribute to projects related to tooling to manage AUTOSAR manifests and model based design workflows
    • Work with top automotive companies to understand and solve unique challenges in simulation-based development and scalable testing of autonomy stacks using virtual ECUs

    We’re looking for someone who

    • Has experience with AUTOSAR software development methodologies and tooling
    • Has deep experience with embedded controller software development and networks in the context of the automotive industry
    • Has experience developing virtual networks and/or virtual ECUs either in an industry or research context
    • Has a deep understanding of the software development and validation workflows used in the automotive industry, and has experience building tools to improve the workflows
    • Has experience Implementing tools for AUTOSAR and/or virtual ECUs in Python & C++

    Nice to have

    • Experience with CPU instruction-set emulation for ARM and other CPU architectures
    • Desire to build tools that have an impact across the entire automotive industry
