About the role

As the full-stack Lead Developer, you will be in charge of technical details of ventures projects, i.e., projects that are adjacent to our core businesses and are bootstrapped fast with a lean team. You are expected to design, develop, maintain, and improve software from scratch since day 1, and be responsible for setting the technical roadmaps. You’ll also help continuously grow the team by hiring more engineering talents.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement solutions to complex problems in large-scale infrastructure
• Create web applications in a distributed environment
• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables
• Work closely with DevOps to improve tech stack for long-term engineering initiatives
• Recruit, coach, and mentor junior developers; share knowledge and contribute to the team's culture of excellence and openness

Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related technical field
• 5-10 years of experience of hands-on full-stack software development
• Strong command of one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: JavaScript, C/C++, Java, Python,Ruby
• Very familiar with modern web application frameworks, including but not limited to: Ruby on Rails, Django, Express
• Experience with front-end frameworks, including but not limited to: Angular, React, Vue
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Good motivation and interested in blockchain and cryptocurrency
• Open source experience is a big plus
• Strong interest and ability to learn other coding languages as needed, a fast learner and have a “get things done” mentality
• Humble to embrace better ideas from others, eager to make things better, open to challenges and possibilities
• Good command of spoken and written English
