Requirements

• 5+ years of experience working with containerization technology (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud infrastructure providers
• 5+ years building and maintaining high-volume production environments and services
• Demonstrated success in delivering high-quality technology products/services in a fast-paced environment
• Kubernetes expert: strong experience in Kubernetes architecture and operations and managing multiple Kubernetes clusters in a high-volume production environment
• Professional experience managing complex container- and VM-based infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Ability to identify, plan for, and remedy security issues.
• Experience designing, configuring and managing centralized logs, metrics, and monitoring for infrastructure and application visibility (e.g. GCP Stackdriver, Prometheus, Grafana, Sentry, ELK Stack, Datadog).
• Expertise implementing Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform).
• Experience in cost optimization of GCP infrastructure
• Implemented and managed CI/CD (e.g. Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines).
• Secrets and configuration management (HashiCorp Vault).
• Experience with time series data stores and other big data (InfluxDB, BigQuery).
• Ability to code/script in Python, bash
• Strong analytical skills as applied to systems management
• Can directly collaborate honestly, openly and tactfully with managers, software developers, and commercial
• Ability to prioritize well, communicate clearly and understands how to drive a high level of focus and excellence with a strong, talented, opinionated team
• Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, manage, prioritize and deliver multiple projects simultaneously
• Has a desire to keep current with technologies, learning & mastering new technologies, and distributing that knowledge to teammates
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
