What you will do
The Novel & Functional Materials laboratory is driving manifold developments in the area of functional adhesives and coatings. In an international environment novel materials and technologies are utilized to realize innovative tesa products. The position is focused on releasable adhesives for improving sustainability of adhesive bonding.
- Ideate and utilize novel chemical and physical concepts for debonding of adhesive bonds
- Develop products and processes on the basis of proven debonding concepts, perform trials in laboratory and technology center scale
- Investigate and implement physical activation methods for release of adhesive bonds
- Set up and run relevant application tests to characterize debonding properties of adhesive tapes
- Initiate and manage R&D-projects
- Cooperate with external partners from science and industry
- Contribute to intellectual property rights management related to debonding on demand
What you will need
- University degree in engineering or natural sciences (e.g. chemistry, material science) or completed vocational training with relevant professional experience
- Professional experience in the field of polymer- or adhesive technology as well as related material know-how, advantageously also in the field of debonding on demand
- Solid practical know-how in the area of polymer compound development
- Independent and self-reliant working style as well as strong teamwork and communication skills
- Digital affinity and confident handling of common systems such as MS Office 365
- Very good English language skills, both written and spoken
