HelloTalk (www.hellotalk.com), a language learning social network with over 7 million members, is looking for a Head of Community.

Responsibilities:
- Manage our internal HelloTalk community and all social channels.
- Define our content strategy and manage it across all channels.
- Be the written “voice” of HelloTalk. This includes marketing materials, and also working with the product team to improve copywriting in the UI.
- Create activities to engage and grow the community, both as a whole and specific language speaker/learner groups.
- Measure the impact of activities and campaigns to drive user engagement and growth.
- Identify opportunities for product improvements based on community feedback.
- Manage other team members and volunteers on the community team.
- Work with our customer service team to triage issues as needed.
Qualifications:
- Native / fluent English speaker (some level of Chinese and other languages is a bonus).
- Passionate about languages and/or culture.
- Good eye for quality content and willingness to experiment to find what that means.
- Excellent written communicator with a friendly, informal tone.
- Prior experience with community management and content creation.
The ideal candidate would work out of our Shenzhen HQ and/or our Hong Kong office, with possibility to go remote.
