We help renters become homeowners and we’re on a mission to wean people off of credit cards.     Tellus was founded in 2016 by two Stanford and Berkeley grads as a real estate management and data company. Today we are a team of 30+ seasoned operators, engineers, personal finance geeks and product imagineers with a home base in Silicon Valley and a team distributed around the country and the world – allowing a work culture that encompasses a diverse global perspective. Our revenue has grown about 900% YoY since launch and we have powerfully positive unit economics on every user acquired.     The Opportunity

    As the VP/Head of Growth & Marketing, you will lead the strategy, and implementation of integrated multichannel marketing programs that support business objectives and help drive revenue and growth. Responsible for marketing strategy, planning, execution, and measurement for all programs related to digital marketing, lead generation, and content marketing.

    • Identify “what good looks like” for our marketing and growth organization, from hiring to promotions to ads and partnerships.
    • Work across our product management team, customer success and support teams, and the rest of staff to ensure that our brand and our stories we tell are building trust and moving our company forward
    • Contribute to shaping the strategic direction of our organization
    • Have a passion for selling and an ability to close
    • Thrive in a wide range of complex situations (e.g. rapid scaling, uncertainty, interconnectedness)
    • Promote best-practices and show a commitment to marketing excellence through hands-on action

    What we’re looking for

    • You are a builder-- you like to invent on behalf of customers. You are comfortable working with ambiguity.
    • Demonstrated a work history of earning trust with your direct team and stakeholders: you listen, you are inclusive, you treat others with respect, and you are willing to be vocally self-critical.

    Minimum Requirements:
    Applicants that do not meet the below criteria will not be considered.

    • Minimum 7+ years of digital consumer marketing experince. At least 2+ years experience marketing mobile products.
    • 5+ years finding valuable opportunities for organic, viral and paid customer acquisition.
    • 5+ years reporting on core metrics of every communication and campaign with the ability to analyze campaign performance and identify areas for improvement.
    • Experience growing an early-stage high growth company
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable presenting to large groups and executive teams.
    • Direct experience supporting complex workforce footprints - across geographies and worker types.

    It would be nice for you to have:

    • Experience delivering technology within a Finance/Banking/FinTech environments
    • Experience within a start-up or scale-up
