About the job

We’re looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our founding team! You’ll work with directly with our CTO and engineering team to architect and develop scalable microservices to serve billions of requests around the globe to hundreds of APIs and integrations. You’ll be responsible for auditing and improving application performance and security, architecting communication between microservices, and improving system reliability.

 

You'll work with us in our beautiful, dog-friendly office in West LA. If you're currently based somewhere else in the US, we can sponsor your relocation to Los Angeles or work together remotely.

What you'll do

 

Architect and build apis to communicate between microservices

Manage database entities and write migrations for changes

Optimize workflow runtime for Paragon’s workflow engine

Audit and maintain application security

Build and maintain application diagrams

Monitor application logs and report issues

Languages, libraries and tools

You should have

 

Knowledge of microservice architecture, distributed systems and streaming architecture

Experience writing unit and end-to-end tests

Confidence working in a high-autonomy, fast-paced environment where you’ll be responsible for decisions that influence the direction of the company

A passion for learning, winning and building amazing products that people love using

5+ years experience with Node.js, Java or Go

2+ years working on products with 10,000+ DAUs

Bonus points if you have

 

Experience with the NestJS server framework

Frontend web development experience with React + Redux

Experience building new products from the ground up at an early stage venture-backed company
