We are seeking a Principal Model Architect to contribute to Solution Architecture and drive the expansion of our next-generation enterprise data and analytics product and solution.
This role has a hybrid schedule of (the possibility of) a few days in office, the remaining days remote from home.
Therefore, the ideal candidate must be based within 50 miles of one of the following metropolitan areas with the willingness to occasionally come into to the local office:

The Master Data Model Architect, is responsible for developing standard practices and rules to transform and maintain business data into a single source of truth. They will work in partnership with the business and customers to ensure the quality, consistency, and accessibility of all business data. Working with the UKG Data Engineering team this role is responsible for managing data consumed from all products UKG offers into our consolidated data platform.
Principal Responsibilities:
Provide UKG and its customers with a trusted single version of accurate data to facilitate the best decisions end users can make for the future of their business Create and implement a Master Data Model and associated strategy to ensure data standardization and quality across all products.
Enforce governance relating to the quality of product data, adapting as needed to changing business trends and requirements; Operationalize processes for creation/change of data, to define business rules, and to implement and improve data standards, integrity, and consistency Collaborate across product platforms to identify opportunities for data and process integration; evaluate and make recommendations regarding proposed data model designs
Define and communicate guidelines to business partners to enforce data standards while supporting business needs
Collaborate with product management and stakeholders to design, develop, and build data solutions that support business requirements within the existing cross product data warehouse
Establish key business relationships to continuously review and refine data requirements needed to meet organizational objectives
Develop and implement data quality measurement criteria
Work with Business stakeholders as appropriate to resolve any issues and improve process efficiencies
Mentor and coach team members on data management and modeling methodologies
Collaborate with Architecture, AI, Business Intelligence and Operational Reporting teams to ensure alignment with other global data governance areas of practice (e.g., Data Architecture, Data Storage & Operations, Security, Data Integration, Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, and Analytics)
Serve as subject matter expert on Master Data Model for all product initiatives
Qualifications
Qualifications:
8+ years of professional experience demonstrating success leading master
8+ data modeling programs in a global product organization
5+ years of experience working with integrated business systems e.g.,
5+ Cloud Native data warehouses (Redshift/BigQuery/Snowflake) and BI
5+ Tools such as Looker, Cognoes
Understanding of Data Governance and the role of a successful MDM practices, especially data modeling, data quality Knowledge of MDM concepts, benefits, best practices, and challenges Expertise leading efforts with cross-functional stakeholders Ability to work in a team environment with strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
