What will you do?

Associate Product Managers (APMs) at Axial engage in all aspects of the product development process, from research and ideation to collaboration with world-class engineers to launch great experiences and capabilities for our users. You will be a member of a multidisciplinary team of product development, UX design, and data professionals who collaborate closely to build products that are transforming the private capital markets.

 

All members of the Axial product team are customer-centric, data-driven, and critical thinkers that possess a strong understanding of technical application development, the right design sense, and an exceptional ability to interpret and translate user behavior into high-impact products.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Help define our roadmap. Work with Product leadership and internal stakeholders to define our 12-18 month roadmap based on a deep understanding of the Axial mission, stakeholder feedback, marketplace research & data analysis.

Define and prioritize work. Collaborate with Product Managers and internal stakeholders to balance the art and the science of feature prioritization. Use a data-driven approach to make decisions and fail fast when necessary.

Design elegant solutions. In collaboration with your UX and engineering partners, design highly discoverable and impactful product experiences that delight our users.

Document Epics, User Stories, Release Plans and more. Create the necessary artifacts to communicate with internal stakeholders, enable the engineering team to execute with minimal ambiguity and bring new capabilities effectively to market.

Conduct Quality Assurance. Ensure new functionality meets functional and user experience expectations, and is ready to delight our users.

What are your qualities?

You have 1+ years of professional experience in a product-centric or technical role, and the ability to understand and analyze data.

You are passionate about solving problems. You often wake up in the middle of night with a fresh and elegant solution to a nagging user problem.

You take pride in your work. You are your toughest critic and set a bar of excellence for your colleagues.

You are a strong communicator. You understand that analysis must be presented in meaningful ways and engage in spirited discussions about the findings. You have the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

You are a self-starter. You’re comfortable acting autonomously in ambiguous or fluid environments. Bonus: You have experience in the world of finance, especially M&A / private capital markets.

Working at Axial

Axial is based in Midtown Manhattan and we operate a hybrid (remote & in-person) work environment. We’re seeking candidates based within commuting distance so that in-person collaboration is possible a few days a week. We support extended periods of remote work, so you can work for parts of the year from anywhere in the world, provided you have stable, reliable access to the internet and are able to work standard business hours EST.

 

We are a growing and tight-knit team (currently 35 employees), and you’ll have the opportunity to have a direct impact on the product and the company.
