Cyvl is redefining how the world manages its physical infrastructure with their vehicle-mounted, 3D mapping sensors and their proprietary artificial intelligence algorithms. Our solutions provide an easy and affordable way to inventory, measure, and monitor the built environment for civil engineering firms, local and state governments, and more.

We are looking for an experienced technical leader to build, manage, and guide our engineering team as our startup rapidly scales to meet our current demand.

What you’ll do:

 

Continue to expand our top-notch technical team and build on our culture of collaboration

Take responsibility for planning, execution and success of complex technical projects

Reach out and work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders to successfully deliver projects that significantly contribute to the success of Cyvl’s mission

Mentor engineers and grow the team to achieve our ambitious goals

 

Qualifications:

 

Experience building and leading a team of 5-10+ software and hardware engineers

Experience taking ideas from inception all the way to delivery and post-sale customer support

Deep expertise in computer vision, point cloud processing, machine learning, sensor fusion, and cloud architecture

Significant experience writing production quality C++ and Python code

Experience scaling both hardware systems and software processing pipelines

A curiosity to learn more

Demonstrated ability to operate in an agile environment, create actionable goals, and deliver on them in situations with limited information and resources

Proven track record of delivering complex technical projects

Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, organized and self-sufficient

 

Bonus points:

 

Previous work experience at a successful, early stage tech startup

Experience with robotics and AI applications (autonomous vehicles, real-time hardware-software systems, sensor fusion)

Experience with mapping and localization

Experience with 3D sensors, data, and representations (LiDAR, pointclouds, meshes, etc.)

Experience with Three.js
