About the position
Reporting to the Head of Partnerships, Understood is looking for an experienced manager to lead our programs and materials efforts for the Partnerships team as we work in collaboration with best-in-class foundations, associations, and corporate partners to Shape the World for Difference. In this role, you will be responsible for creating programs and proposals for external partners and representing key insights and opportunities through program details and written narratives. This role requires a high level of collaboration with cross-functional teams, the ability to craft custom presentations and narratives that reflect a partner’s needs, and capture accurate details around transformative, measurable programs.

Key Responsibilities
Write and produce partnership proposals, pitch decks and capture opportunity details
Partner with internal experts to identify and capture program details
Weave beautiful narratives and storytelling into your work
Drive research projects to support efforts
Maintain cross functional resources and approval chain
Track internal team progress reports through sheets and CRM tools
Manage and drive timelines
Support Executives with special projects and reports
Build effective, highly collaborative relationships with cross functional team partners and stakeholders
Manage LinkedIn posts and communications across team channels
Report on key industry trends and market research in the social impact partnership space
Lead the communication and dissemination of information between cross-functional working teams
Manage internal meetings, notes and agendas

Qualifications
3+ years of experience in role focused on writing for partnerships
2+ years of increased responsibility in partnerships
Committed to embodying and being a steward of our commitment to diversity
Knowledge, skills and abilities
Knowledge of partnership design, development, and execution
Working knowledge of project management tools or platforms
Proven creative writing skills
Exceptional organizational skills, including attention to detail
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Comfortable navigating matrixed organizations
Ability to collect and analyze data
Highly proficient in Google Suite (Docs, Cal, Sheets, Slides)
