Introduction:

Narrow Pacific – a digital asset trading company – is looking for candidates to join our team and accelerate development of our web apps and services. You’ll get to work in an environment that values engineering and design, alongside a talented team with proven financial trading experience. The position is based in our Taipei office.

About Narrow Pacific:
Narrow Pacific makes DBC – one of the world's first decentralized trading platforms for cryptocurrencies and digital assets. DBC is based on Ethereum and leverages ERC20 tokens along with other digital assets in the blockchain ecosystem. Built with a centralized order book, DBC promotes price discovery and fast interaction between buyers and sellers. Settlement is fully decentralized and thus offers a high-level of security without exposure to counterparty risk.

Profiles that are important to us:

• Strong English communication skills
• Strong coding skills and computer science fundamentals
• We don’t discriminate by language, but having coded in NodeJS, Go, Ruby, Python, Java, Erlang, … is a plus
• Knowledge of database (PostgreSQL, LevelDB, Redis, …) backed applications as used in REST APIs
• Knowledge of distributed systems (Ethereum, Bitcoin, …) is a major plus
• Knowledge of cryptography is a big plus
• Knowledge of communication methods to interact with frontend applications (WebSockets, RPC, …)
• Knowledge of configuration management (git, containers, Vagrant, …) in a development environment
• You are creative and analytical, and like to be appreciated for both
• You are passionate about contributing to open-source codebases
