About the jobFlox is seeking an experienced Product Designer to join the Flox team.  Flox is dedicated to making developers more productive across every stage of the software development life cycle by unleashing the power of Nix. Nix is an open-source package manager that enables developers to manage environments and packages as code. We build SaaS products to help enterprises use Nix to manage development and production environments, build software, and deploy consistently across Mac, Linux, and embedded devices. 

*Responsibilities *

 

Take broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into products useful and valuable for our developers and community 

Design flows and experiences that are incredibly simple and integrated into the developer flow 

Contribute to high-level strategic decisions with the rest of the product and executive teams 

Give and solicit feedback from other designers/community members in order to continually raise our bar for quality 

Partner with PMs, engineers, researchers and executives to oversee the user experience of a product, from conception to launch 

 

Minimum Qualifications 

 

Experience in product design, strategy and vision for infrastructure products or products with developers as users 

Experience designing and building applications 

Portfolio of interaction and visual design work 

Demonstrated experience with end-to-end product design 

Experience communicating with cross-functional teams 

Experience designing, analyzing and improving efficiency, scalability, and stability of various system resources 

 

*Preferred Qualifications *

 

Experience designing for various types of developers with different flows 

Familiarity with Nix
