We’re seeking a data scientist who is ready to work with new technologies and architectures in an entrepreneurial organization that’s changing the logistics industry. As a member of the data science team you will help our colleagues answer questions using data and help expand what questions are possible.

Responsibilities:

 

Collaborate with other teams to unearth insights, identify opportunities and trends, and understand user behavior

Build out high-impact use cases with a focus on forecasting and optimization problems applied to the most pressing business problems we’re solving

Produce datasets that answer questions about our application and how it is used, or that help us explore our business potential

Produce dashboards which help our internal customers understand and track aspects of our business over time

Work with colleagues on the Data Team to find the best and most useful metrics to track, and how best to communicate them to the wider company

Help develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators so we can be confident our business is growing in the right directions

 

Skills/Qualifications:

 

Solid skills in SQL and Python, and data science libraries (ML libraries, plotting libraries)

Familiarity with statistics

Ability to tell a story with data, and comfort with the different ways of doing so (charts, reports, dashboards, presentations, etc)

Attention to detail and correctness, so our data is clean and our stories are accurate

Comfort guiding conversations to help our internal customers understand their data needs

Experience with data exploration and business intelligence tools (we use Metabase and Tableau)

 

Required Experience:

 

BS or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related areas.

 

Hours: Full-time

Pay: Competitive salary, stock options

Locations: USA or Brazil
