Hypothetic is looking for an experienced ML Engineer to join our team for an exciting and challenging internship. We need a strong technical contributor with a deep understanding of 3D graphics to help us implement the latest 3D technologies - from real-time rendering to 3D-mesh processing - into our machine learning pipelines. We are seeking interns who will thrive in a startup culture working alongside teammates and write tools that will shape our products and the future of 3D content creation.
Potential Responsibilities
Collaborate directly with Hypothetic’s core team to:
Build, manage and prepare a unique 3D dataset for our deep learning engine
Develop ML friendly 3D shape representations
Develop state-of-the-art deep learning algorithms for 3D geometry processing
Read, implement and improve the latest papers in this field
Rapid prototyping of ideas, approaches, methods etc.
Requirements
BSc (or higher) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a similar field of study
Proficient with machine learning and deep learning processing 3D data (Mesh, Voxel, Point Clouds, etc)
Solid understanding of 3D math and modern 3D graphics and geometry
Proficient in Python, Pytorch and experienced in C++
Experience using version control software
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
Ability to learn fast and deliver quickly
Nice to have:
Experience developing low level 3D graphics algorithms
Experience working in the gaming industry is a huge plus
Familiar with 3D modeling
Experience with Pytorch3D, big plus
Experience with 3D DCC tools such as Blender, Houdini, or Maya
Experience with Unreal Engine (UE5)
Experience with shaders and low level graphics APIs ( OpenGL/WebGL/DirectX )
Familiar with real-time rendering
Familiar with differential rendering
