    About the Role

    The Head of Sales position is a leadership role with departmental management responsibilities to drive business development and sales strategy to achieve revenue goals.  

    AKASA is based in South San Francisco. As a company, we embraced remote work before COVID-19. We consider ourselves experts in working collaboratively wherever our team members reside.

    What You'll Do

     

    Oversee daily sales operations activities to promote AKASA products and drive company growth

    Create and execute go-to-market and sales strategies which help achieve or exceed quarterly and annual sales goals

    Manage and develop team of sales professionals, sales managers, trainer(s), and business development staff

    Develop a sales training and enablement function which continuously engages and supports sales professionals to optimize sales performance

    Enhance existing sales operations and business development infrastructure through continuous analysis to improve sales strategies and outcomes

    Display an in-depth understanding of the healthcare provider market and sales cycle, specializing in tactics to navigate extended sales pursuits as well as complex deal design

    Support sales conversations with prospects and clients; further, establish and maintain key customer relationships

    Work closely with the customer success, partnerships, and marketing teams to coordinate efforts and campaigns to maximize company growth and client satisfaction

    Leverage and improve upon technologies for that support customer relationship management, marketing lead generation, sales conversation intelligence, contract lifecycle management, and project management

    Develop and manage sales budgets and incentives

    Establish, maintain and deliver reports to company leadership on projected revenue, booked revenue, and recognized revenue

    Consistently hit quarterly and annual sales forecasts

     

    Skills & Qualifications

     

    Bachelor’s degree

    12+ years of enterprise technology and consulting sales experience with a track record of consistent top sales performance

    5+ years in a sales leadership role

    Healthcare sales experience, ideally selling technology and/or consulting services to healthcare providers, including hospitals and medical groups

    In-depth knowledge and experience with selling strategies and employee motivation techniques

    Excellent writing, critical thinking, and negotiation skills

    Ability to travel domestically up to 40%

    Ideally, familiar with Salesforce, Hubspot, and Gong
