Bitcoin Depot is seeking a Cloud Operations Engineer to fill a multiple function role with a primary focus on maintaining and administering our company’s cloud development and production environments. Additional duties include support of our network system of computers and some amount of user administration, desktop security policies, and light desktop support. The primary responsibility will be deploying and troubleshooting software, networking, and security in AWS infrastructure and ensuring that all systems run with optimal performance.
You should have an excellent ability to solve problems using your in-depth knowledge of Cloud infrastructure, security, and general information systems in a distributed environment. You should be a team player and willing to handle project work, and support requests with courtesy and professionalism.

Responsibilities
Maintain, monitor, and manage Bitcoin Depot production, development and staging servers in AWS, monitor and manage backup services, and occasionally assisting with support and onboarding/offboarding of new and former users. Manage all AD related credentials and virtual infrastructure in Azure environment. Manage a variety of technologies also including Datadog, Gitlab/Github and other CI/CD technologies in a primarily containerized environment.
Technical Qualifications:
Configuring and maintaining the cloud infrastructure, including virtual machines, load balancers, WAFs, system software, and internal/external applications
Ensuring data is stored securely and backed up regularly
Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, networking, and system issues when they arise
Monitoring system performance to ensure everything runs smoothly and securely
Researching and recommending new approaches to improve the networked computer system
Providing technical support when requested
Documenting any processes which employees need to follow in order to successfully work within company systems
Sustaining network integrity, server deployment, and security and patching OS for security vulnerability
Familiarity with configuring SSO, VPN, MFA and MDM
Working with Azure Active Directory
Qualifications
Relevant Degree or Diploma in Information Systems desired.
minimum 5 years experience in a cloud and distributed computing environment.
2+ years administering server-side technology, networked computing systems and cloud computing (AWS, Azure and Google)
Working knowledge of firewall and security such as VPC, NSG, subnet, ACL and port configuration based on principal of least access.
Experience with Fortinet, and FortiClient firewall and VPN technologies
AWS SysOps or Solution Architect associate Certification preferred.
Experience working with ECS clusters and containers
Experience working Linux and Windows operating systems
Knowledge in Virtualization Technologies and Scripting Languages is a plus
AD administration and user administration system (onboarding, offboarding)
Familiarity with RDS database operations
Ability to prioritize a wide range of workloads with critical deadlines
Availability outside of working hours to resolve emergency issues promptly
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Patient and professional demeanor, with a can-do attitude
Experience administering and configuring SSO, MFA, VPN and MDM.
