We are looking for an experienced Director of IT (Information Technology) to oversee all IT functions in our company. You will lead a globally distributed team of IT professionals of varying experience remotely to deliver a program that empowers our staff to do their best work.
Responsibilities:
Analyze the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs.
Maintain IT security-related requirements for SOC II, HIPAA, GDPR, and other security and compliance standards.
Maintain close communication with the finance team to ensure we have accurate projections of software costs, manage our budget, and report expenditures.
Analyzes IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics and needs.
Build relationships with vendors and service providers and create cost-efficient contracts.
Establish and implement business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss.
Responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of the operational systems, including defining the network architecture, assessing and mitigating security risks, and developing security and contingency plans.
Evaluate new software tools used by the business ensuring security and compliance needs are met and facilitate IT security audits or investigations.
Establish efficiency and efficacy standards, proactively identify pain points, opportunities, or inefficiencies where technology can bring a value-add solution or increase efficiency and provide recommendations for improvement of IT infrastructure.
Requirements:
4+ years of IT leadership experience, an ownership mindset, with an eye for doing what’s required to support Invisible’s mission and success.
Comprehensive knowledge of information systems technology subjects and knowledge of hardware and software with the ability to keep informed of new technologies.
Strong analytical skills and an ability to translate complex technical and analytical issues into clear, concise, jargon-free communications to educate and inspire technical and non-technical audiences.
Must be able to understand complex problems in IT and other departments and recommend appropriate technical or process solutions; must understand strategy, development, and execution.
Demonstrable experience with implementing IT systems in public/private cloud environments (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud, etc.).

Currently, we are looking to hire for a team that works primarily in US timezones and are seeking out engineering talent in these timezones:

The candidate should be available between 10 AM to 3 PM EDT from Monday to Friday.
