Our innovative and fast-growing company is looking for a Vice President of Corporate Strategy to help lead the planning, implementation, and execution of strategic initiatives across MadHive and other founder-owned portfolio companies. The successful candidate should be based near our NYC headquarters and be able to work a hybrid schedule between their home and our office.
Key Responsibilities: (What you will do)
● Deliver data-driven insights to support actionable strategy, prioritization of capital allocation and resources, and stakeholder communications (e.g., to CXO level leaders, Board Members, Investors)
● Analyze MadHive’s strategic landscape, gathering competitive industry intelligence, and sourcing, evaluating, and negotiating on potential transactions as a key driver of growth
● Support the development of the forward-looking strategy of the firm and strategic plans that enable execution of enterprise-wide strategic projects
● Provide leadership to address key strategic issues and opportunities, working in collaboration across multiple functions and channels, often in a consultative manner
● Collaborate with business unit leaders in gaining their input into the firm’s strategic direction helping coordinate their efforts in alignment with the firm’s strategic plan
● Oversee industry, market, competitor, and financial analysis
● Monitor financial results of assigned subsidiaries and support strategic business planning initiatives
● Support the communication of company vision & strategy to stakeholders and support translation into operational reality via various channels
● Design and implement annual strategic planning process, including 5-year forecast
● Lead and support benchmarking our performance in relation to industry
Qualifications: (Who you are)
● Bachelor’s degree required. MBA desired, or advanced university degree
● 15+ years of relevant experience in management consulting at reputable firm or corporate strategy
● Highly motivated, combining exceptional strategic thinking, superior executive communication skills, project management, managerial experience, good business judgment and quantitative skills
● Excellent presentation/communication skills, with the ability to distill complex analyses into executive-level insights and recommendations
● Must have experience in ad-tech industry
● Significant experience working with executives at early-stage companies to define and implement strategic roadmap
● Strong project management skills, able to work independently, and willing to challenge constructively to influence change and consensus
● Experience deep diving into areas before there is clear operational ownership and determines if there are opportunities for the broader portfolio
