The Global Security Operations (GSO) Team owns the safety and security efforts at Peloton. Our mission is to build a world-class Security Program. As the Senior Talent Protection Specialist, you will serve as the talent protection official assisting with the implementation of high level, strategic security policies for the Executive / Talent Protection team. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Executive Protection, you will advise on security related matters and assist with gathering intelligence related to the security of Peloton studio leadership and instructors. This role requires the ability to provide protective strategies and services within a global environment for a diverse population of team members and communicate effectively with all levels of management. As the Talent Protection Specialist you will work with confidential and sensitive information, must have exceptional communication skills as well as the ability to earn trust with business partners. In this role, you will be responsible for close protection of key senior leaders or instructors and provide transportation needs as required. The role also requires supplementing support to the Executive Protection Specialist, flexibility regarding travel and work hours, in order to ensure the maximum level protection of the principal(s) is achieved.
YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON
Support protection efforts for the chief executive officer, studio leaders and instructors
Provide transportation for any assigned protectee for corporate related engagements
Conduct routine security checks and site assessments to ensure the safety of the company’s New York City based production studio (PSNY)
Generate security incident reports related to the c-suite / instructors incidents
Render first-aid to executives or instructors in the event of a medical emergency
Monitoring open sources for threats and risks targeting key executives and instructors
Identify security gaps and develop innovative intelligence-driven solutions
Identify and vet emerging risks, including in depth analysis of the digital threat landscape
Deliver detailed briefings on security risks, threats & suspicious activity for team members / leaders assigned to Peloton Studios of New York
Safeguard confidential information of team leaders, team members and members
Conduct in depth assessments of previous and current as well as make recommendations to counteract threats made to team members assigned the studio
Create reports, presentations, charts or diagrams to report analytical assessments
Provide written explanations and analysis to support conclusions and investigations
Provide protection coverage for the senior executives or instructor as needed
Provide administrative and operational support to executive protection personnel
Review relevant materials or conduct investigations related to talent protection
Perform other job related duties as requested by the Executive Protection People Leader
Assist the senior manager of global studio security with respect to contracted security staffing, post coverage, post orders, policy compliance and venue security at the studio
Partner with leaders from Peloton’s Global Safety and Security Operations team and 3rd party security teams to ensure that safety and security efforts are enforced
Ensure that the executive / talent protection database is periodically updated with information pertaining to investigations, talent profiles, risk assessments and searches
YOU BRING TO PELOTON
7+ years of experience of increasing responsibility within the security field including 5+ years of experience protecting executives, celebrities, notable persons or public figures
Proficient in room clearing, emergency evacuations and evasive vehicle operations
Excellent communication skills and the ability to de-escalate threatening situations
Proficient in the use of firearms and ability to carry a firearm in the state of New York
Current / active driver’s license issued by a motor vehicular state agency
5+years intelligence gathering for governmental or 10+ years in corporate services
Certified in First Aid, Wicklander & Zulawski (Level One) interview and investigations
Dedication to actively being part of and supporting a diverse and inclusive workplace
Well grounded understanding of social media and other media platforms
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Protective security training and experience.
Extensive experience in administrative and criminal investigations
Proficiency in Google docs, microsoft word, excel, powerpoint and outlook
Working knowledge of TLO, CLEAR, Lexus-Nexus or Genetec security monitoring system
Active assailant / shooter and critical incident response
Crisis management training or experience
Base Salary: $122,700.00 to $159,400.00
*This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this NY - based position. *
The actual base salary will depend on numerous factors such as: experience, knowledge and skills, and if the location of the job changes. Our base salary is just one component of Peloton’s competitive total rewards strategy that also includes annual equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan as well as other region-specific health and welfare benefits.
