    About the jobWe’re looking for a Head of Growth: Healthcare who is passionate about mental wellness.   

    The Head of Growth: Healthcare will contribute to the company’s growth by specializing and owning Real’s strategy and opportunity to build partnerships with Health Plans. You will work collaboratively across Real’s teams, including Product, Clinical, Marketing, Finance, Product, and others, to illustrate the value of health plan relationships and solve the needs as opportunities arise. 

    The Head of Growth: Healthcare will report to the CEO.

    The ideal candidate has extensive experience working in consulting and selling health plans.

    The company is based in NYC, though the role is remote.

    A day in the life:


    Own the payer partnerships and contracting process from start to finish across all plan types (Medicaid, Commercial, other Government etc.), bringing in the CEO, CMO, and appropriate stakeholders as needed to close deals

    Source contacts and develop relationships at major payers in Real’s expansion states

    Lead business development meetings and cultivate interest among senior-level contacts at health plans partnerships

    Actively prospect, build relationships, and secure payer contracts.

    Serve as the point person to bring deals through the sales cycle and the contracting process.

    Forecast deal flow and help define metrics and milestones that align with broader organizational goals by working closely with finance 

    Meet with internal and/or external stakeholders to facilitate team and business priorities/opportunities; attend critical healthcare conferences 

    Develop Real’s outreach strategy, including market segmentation, sales process, implementation and onboarding 

    Own overall accountability for Real’s payer contract structure, including deal economics and all major terms

    Research accounts and key stakeholders in order to identify opportunities for prospecting and relationship development


    You’ve got:


    Experience negotiating contracts and agreements 

    10-12 years of relevant work experience selling to payers and health plans 

    Ability to champion, lead, and mentor a team

    Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects

    Amazing communication, interpersonal, listening and relationship-building skills

    Passion for mental health
