    Conviva is seeking a Director of Technical Operations and DevOps to lead our hybrid cloud infrastructure and ensure the reliable, secure, and scalable delivery of our technology services. The ideal candidate will be a strong technical leader with a strong engineering background and discipline, a passion for cloud and on-premises infrastructure and a proven track record of building and scaling high-performing operations and DevOps teams.

    What Success Will Look Like:

    • Develop and implement a strategic plan for the company's hybrid cloud infrastructure, including both public cloud and on-premises data centers
    • Build and manage a team of DevOps, System and Networking engineers to ensure the effective delivery of technology services
    • Establish and maintain policies and procedures for the company's hybrid cloud operations.
    • Ensure the stability, scalability, and security of the company's technology platforms and environments.
    • Work closely with all the development teams, hold them accountable for adhering to DevOps best practices and ensuring that their code is deployable, scalable, and maintainable in the hybrid cloud environment.
    • Work closely with the customer support team to address operational issues and identify areas for improvement based on customer feedback.
    • Drive production incident management, coordinate and drive debugging production issues, and represent the entire engineering team to manage communication with other teams and potentially with customers.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development and customer support, to ensure alignment on hybrid cloud initiatives and priorities.
    • Interface with customers to understand their needs and ensure that our technology platforms meet their requirements.
    • Develop and manage the hybrid cloud budget, including vendor management and cost optimization initiatives.
    • Identify and implement process improvements to increase operational efficiency and productivity.
    • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends to inform the company's hybrid cloud roadmap

    Who You Are & What You've Done:

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
    • 10+ years of experience in hybrid cloud or related fields, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
    • Proven experience managing teams of operations, DevOps or SRE engineers.
    • Software engineering background and experience leading development teams would be a big plus.
    • Strong technical skills, with a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, hybrid cloud architecture, and related technologies such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Docker, and Kubernetes.
    • Experience with automation tools and frameworks, such as Ansible, Terraform, and Chef.
    • Experience with on-premises data center management and operations.
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments and with external stakeholders.
    • Experience managing budgets and vendor relationships

    The expected salary range for this full-time position is $250,000 - $300,000 + equity + benefits. Compensation is determined by numerous factors such as your qualifications, experience, relevant education or training, and work location.
