    Job description

Subject is an educational technology startup on a mission to revolutionize classroom experiences. Backed by Kleiner Perkins, SoftBank Opportunity Fund, Owl Ventures, and others, we're fostering a global community of students by providing on-demand, engaging learning experiences. Our vibrant team, based in LA, aims to disrupt the education landscape. This is a mandatory in-person role and will require 60 hours of commitment a week.

Vision: Revolutionize education by empowering all students the ability to outperform their current trajectory by several notches. We will change the world by creating a far more educated society with more students graduating high school and going to better universities.

Mission: To maximize the potential of all learners and educators regardless of zip code.

Values: We are an in-person culture - we look forward to building great products together as a team.

    1. Education Obsessed - We are obsessed with providing students, educators, and administrators with the best learning experience possible. Learning success is the mission of this company. Prioritize user experience always. We vigorously seek out feedback from students, educators, and teammates. Each critique is an opportunity to improve. We will constantly iterate in order to best service our users. We will be the best at listening and learning.
We understand that every student we impact changes the world.

    2. Championship Sports Team - We are building a championship sports team, which values teammates embodying team success over individual success. We look for teammates who take on a no job is beneath you mentality, embrace any role that pushes the company forward, and looks forward to celebrating our wins together as a team. Grit is paramount to our mission. We will do our best work together. We uphold exceptional standards in all we do, achieving excellence in ourselves, our collaboration, and the outcomes of our work. We are not just team players; we are all-stars. Our passion for the company's growth and the impact we can make on millions of lives drives us to go the extra mile. We hold each other accountable to the highest standards in all we do.

    3. Speed - We value speed above all else. We fully support teammates making mistakes by prioritizing speed. Speed of iteration beats quality of iteration. Always prioritize integrity. We must persevere and learn as quickly as possible. While others may choose to deliberate, we believe in the power of making informed decisions swiftly and confidently. We stay one step ahead, turning tomorrow's possibilities into today's achievements. How fast do you respond to teammates? To customers? It matters - how fast you respond is indicative of how fast you make decisions. Be faster.
We never put off to later what we can do now to deliver impact.

    4. **Empathy* - Our empathy strengthens us, fostering understanding and support among team members while driving innovation and success in our product and company. We deeply value the humanity of each member of our team, recognizing and appreciating the diverse perspectives and experiences that each of us brings. Our ability to empathize, to truly understand and support one another, is our strength. This deep connection fuels our creativity, drives our innovation, and builds a product and a company that is not only successful but also deeply meaningful.
We are our best because we connect, understand, and lift each other up.
