As a Channel Manager on the Business Development, Accountant team, you will be responsible for both sales as you sell to accountants on the benefits of partnering with Justworks, as well as relationship management as you nurture those partners and source referral business on an ongoing basis. Additionally, you will focus on strategy and prioritize which firms to target as you develop firm-specific engagement strategies when necessary.
You will identify and source new partnerships with accountants, bookkeepers and outsourced CFOs, and then manage those relationships to set them up for success. You will also develop relationships with industry organizations and advise on event, media, and thought leadership opportunities in your market. This is a quota-carrying role within the sales organization that reports into the Senior Manager, Accountant Channel.
Your Success Profile
What You Will Work On
- Identify which accounting/outsourced CFO firms would be good Justworks partners
- Prospect and set up meetings with accountants
- Travel to other U.S. cities to grow the Accountant channel in multiple markets (about 5-15% of your time)
- Nurture partners, delivering value back to their practices in exchange for referrals
- Hit quarterly revenue targets
- Develop relationships with industry organizations in your market
- Collaborate closely with Justworks Account Executives and Sales Leadership
- Other duties as needed based on department and/or organizational needs

Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years in a quota-carrying role, either in business development, partnerships or enterprise sales
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM (other systems like Tableau are a plus)
- Past experience selling into and/or networking with the accounting community preferred but not required
- Entrepreneurial mindset and drive are ideal
- The ability to travel as needed (about 5-15% of your time)
- Be highly motivated by delivering excellent services and ensuring satisfaction and maintain professionalism at all times
- Strategic thinker with strong communication skills & ability to capture a room and engage with C-level executives and other stakeholders
- The ability to work both independently and part of a team whilst being flexible to suit business needs
The base wage range for this position based in our New York City Office is targeted at $97,000.00 to $106,700.00 per year.
