    The Role

The Strategic Finance and Corporate Development Lead will help define, analyze, and shape the direction of our rapidly growing company. The role calls for driving business performance through ownership of strategic and financial initiatives, leadership of critical analysis and special projects, and close financial partnership with stakeholders throughout the organization. You will work cross-functionally to evaluate inorganic (M&A) and organic growth opportunities, drive strategic initiatives, and lead the generation of analytically driven actionable insights to influence activities across Slice. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with excellent quantitative and verbal / communication skills. You will have the maturity and confidence to interface with company executives, and the humble self-awareness that enables them to lead teams to consensus around solutions.

    Key Responsibilities include:

    • Identify, structure, and solve complex business problems, using analytics and business judgment
    • Lead analyses on key industry trends and dynamics (market, technology, competitors, consumers, etc.), and develop insights on the economic impact on our business
    • Assess market opportunities (TAM/SAM, customer segments, geographic markets, etc.)
    • Help define and measure KPIs for both internal and external use cases
    • Lead the preparation, analysis, and communication of monthly, quarterly, and other ad-hoc deliverables for Slice’s Board, investors and lenders
    • Build strong, trusted relationships with senior management and leaders within Slice. You will have direct visibility to senior leadership, including our CFO, CEO, etc., and be expected to play an active role in supporting executive decision making

    The Team

You will be a member of the Finance team and will report into the VP of Finance. This role is cross-functional and includes broad exposure to our senior & executive leadership team. This is a high impact, high visibility individual contributor role ideally based in the New York metropolitan area, though we will also consider remote candidates in other East Coast geographies based on qualifications.

    The Winning Recipe

These are the core competencies this role calls for:

    • 6-8 years of top-tier investment banking, private equity, and/or strategy consulting required. Previous strategic finance, startup and/or capital markets experience within SaaS, marketplace or commerce enablement sectors is a plus
    • Superior analytical skills and financial modeling capabilities. Extensive knowledge of and ability to build and adapt financial models, including ROI, M&A and connected three-statement financial models
    • Capable of analyzing large data sets and distilling results down to digestible findings
    • Proven experience building strong relationships with business partners across functions and countries
    • Strong executive-level presentation skills
    • Knowledge and familiarity of financial reporting / accounting concepts
