Backend Lead - Tink Labs｜Meet.jobs

As a Lead Backend you will manage a team of backend developers and guide them towards successful project deliveries. To achieve sustainable results, you should be providing technical leadership through coaching and mentorship and maintain high standards of software quality by establishing good practices and habits. You will also be in charge of identifying and encouraging areas for growth and improvement within the team and work in collaboration with other backend leads and departments on company-wide projects.

 Our backends are developed using several technologies and programming languages (PHP, node.js, etc…), so you should not be afraid to work with our existing code, extend, maintain and continuously refactor the backend of handy application.

As a Backend Lead, you will also work in designing and implementing high available systems for the server part of our applications. You will be part of our engineer team and work closely with systems, frontend and other departments. You will be integrated in business decisions as part of our technology strategy.

Responsibilities 

• Develop new features and maintain our high performance server-side software, API and administration user interface

• Guide system architecture, make broad technology decisions, and keep the system and team scalable as they grow.
• Solve problems by building new automation, integrating 3rd party software, or augmenting existing workers with new tools

• Work with the team to create next generation technologies for the hospitality industry globally

Requirements 

• Degree holder in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or relevant subject
• 6+ years of experience in a Backend Engineer role
• 3+ years of experience in managing engineer team
• Strong experience in building and maintaining large-scale server applications with PHP
• Familiar with wide range of webservice such as AWS, Docker, CircleCI, etc
• Passionate to software development, with best practices to build scalable, well-tested and maintainable software
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
• Self-starter, passionate, accountable and most importantly, possessing a great attitude

 

Salary

Salary range / month :  HK$ 60k-80k
