    General Information

    Responsibilities

    • Design, build, and maintain custom applications and solutions using MS Power Platform to automate business processes and enhance data-driven decision-making.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across multiple business areas on short- and long-term goals for system improvements to improve efficiency and end-user experience and streamline system management.
    • Integrate data from multiple sources, including those within and outside the Microsoft ecosystem, to reduce data silos and improve efficiency.
    • Clean and transform complex data in order to provide accurate and error-free final products.
    • Provide expertise in using Microsoft productivity tools and keep current on new developments and functionality.
    • Support the preparation of business cases and justifications for new initiatives and projects.
    • Use creative thinking and initiative to streamline processes and improve performance and efficiency.
    • Create and update technical documentation, such as functional and non-functional requirements, system documentation, user guides, and maintenance plans.
    • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    Minimum Education and Experience

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • 6+ years of work experience
    • At least 3 years of experience with Power Platform development, including at least 2 years of experience using Power BI

    Basic Requirements

    • Strong experience creating insightful Power BI reports, including DAX and data modeling
    • Experience importing, cleaning, and transforming complex data from multiple sources in Power Query (including use of M language), with ability to identify and resolve data integrity issues
    • Experience developing business solutions using Power Automate and PowerApps
    • Working knowledge of data structures, including relational databases, within enterprise software systems, (e.g., financial, accounting, HR, ERP, CRM)
    • Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel, SharePoint and Teams and proficiency in Word and PowerPoint
    • Able to identify and document requirements and communicate to internal stakeholders
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Ability to work independently, including prioritization, and knowledge of when to seek assistance in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
    • Able to work onsite at Rockville MD location at least once per week
    • Able to work in the United States without sponsorship for more than three years

    Skills That Set You Apart

    • Prior experience working with data from financial ERP systems, especially JAMIS Prime
    • Experience using Azure services (such as Azure Functions and/or Azure Logic Apps), Microsoft Dataverse, and/or Microsoft Graph
    • Experience conducting ETL processes using SQL server or similar
    • Experience with Power Platform governance and operational models
    • Relevant Microsoft certifications
