Responsibilities

- Design and build scalable APIs for new and key features that power the entire Carousell marketplace
- Work cross-functionally with the Android, iOS, Web, product and design teams to build scalable, robust and easy-to-use features
- Key features include search, discovery, chat, inbox, selling experience, profile management, payments, review system and many more

Requirements

- Experience in building scalable distributed systems with good understanding of service oriented architecture, data stores, data modeling, indexing and associated trade-offs
- Experience in Python/Django/Flask or JVM based languages
- Strong Computer Science background with understanding of the principles of modern software development
- Familiarity with modern web development
