This candidate will responsible for the development of global suppliers of components, products and external services supporting the product development and enterprise operations. She/ he will manage the supplier relationships in various modes of outsourcing (ODM, OEM), purchasing; co-operate with internal projects /departments and external suppliers/ partners to ensure that the material and service meet pre-determined technical and commercial targets.

Responsibilities • Source for materials, services and vendors; obtain and review quotes; negotiate for best price and terms; prepare purchase orders. • Plan and coordinate timely delivery of purchases • Support cost reduction programs for new and existing projects • Conduct routine BOM cost reviews/ scrubs internally and with the vendors/ ODMs to ensure market competitive pricing is being achieved • Lead-time reduction negotiation • To work with cross-functional teams, including all projects and support R&D from end-to-end product life cycle mass production • Work with existing or new vendor to lower materials cost through value engineering, reverse engineering, New design, alternative substitution, or relaxing of tolerance or standard of the materials • Manage supplier’s performance to achieve required quality and delivery performance • Perform quality audits and control deliveries on a case-by-case basis. • Involved in engineering changes regarding components, products and/or engineering & production processes. Follow up on any corrective actions regarding material and process-improvement. • Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor

Requirements • Diploma/ Degree in Engineering disciplines • Minimum 3 years working experience in purchasing and sourcing for Electronics • Knowledge of SAP Module is preferred but not a must • Possess strong sourcing and negotiation skills • Must be a highly driven individual with good track record to execute all duties in the role • Must have strong communications (oral and written) and good team player • Able to start work within short notice will be an advantage
