The Opportunity
The Centre for Developmental Psychiatry and Psychology is looking to appoint a Research Assistant to be part of an Australian Research Council funded Discovery Project entitled "School Non-Attendance in Students with Intellectual Disability". This collaborative research project involves collaborators from University of Warwick (UK) and Leiden University (The Netherlands). The project aims to build a profile of school attendance problems in students with intellectual disability and identify factors that are associated with non-attendance.
The successful applicant will manage the day-to-day running of the study which will involve recruitment of schools and participants into the study, prepare study material, data entry and analysis, preparation of results for presentation and publication and liaison and communication with the international team of investigators.
You will have a tertiary degree in psychology or equivalent in education or allied health disciplines and/or relevant work experience with families and school students with intellectual disability.
