The Role
We are seeking a CEO who combines strong technical depth with strategic and operational leadership to drive Doctech’s next stage of growth. This role leads the company’s overall direction by aligning research and development execution, commercialization, and long-term corporate strategy, while building a high-performing team and maintaining trusted relationships with customers, partners, investors, and government stakeholders. This role is responsible for providing strategic leadership, overseeing all research and development and operational activities, managing project resources, and ensuring project milestones and deliverables are achieved.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategy and Growth
- Define and execute company's strategy, balancing short-term milestones with long-term market and technology expansion
- Drive commercialization: customer development, strategic partnerships, product-market positioning, and scale-up roadmap
- Represent the company in industry, academic, and strategic forums to strengthen credibility and visibility
Technology Leadership
- Provide strategic direction on complex research and development challenges in semiconductor materials, electrochemical processes, and surface engineering
- Ensure technical decisions translate into manufacturable, reliable, and application-driven solutions
- Guide the research and development team to deliver meaningful outcomes (for example, performance validation, customer qualification readiness, intellectual property and patents)
Operations and Execution
- Oversee resource allocation across research and development, operations, and commercialization, ensuring efficient and high-impact deployment
- Lead cross-functional execution and internal alignment (research and development, engineering, operations, quality, external collaborators)
- Ensure operational excellence: project delivery, timelines, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement
Stakeholder and Team Leadership
- Maintain transparent communication with stakeholders: customers, partners, investors, and relevant public-sector bodies
- Build and mentor a strong leadership bench and cultivate a collaborative, execution-driven culture
Requirements

PhD in related disciplines

More than 3 years of relevant experience in semiconductor, energy, or advanced materials fields, with a strong blend of research and real-world translation
- Strong technical grounding in semiconductor processes, materials, and electrochemical technologies (electroplating and surface treatment highly relevant)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Track record of cross-institution and cross-border collaboration (academia, industry, partners)
- Experience in startup or technology spin-off environments and building teams under fast timelines
- Familiarity with innovation ecosystem engagement (for example, public funding, incubation programs, strategic consortiums)
- Evidence of high-impact output: patents, publications, industry validation, or successful technology transfer
